Jefferies Reduces BSE Target Price
Global Brokerage Firm Jefferies has assigned an "Underperform" rating to the stock and has also reduced the target price from Earlier Rs. 3520 per share to the current Rs. 2,940 per share
In its report, Jefferies has cut its FY27-29 estimated earnings per share (EPS) by 5% to 12%, pointing to a noticeable slowdown in BSE's market share gains outside the near-expiry (T-0/T-1) trading days.
On the other hand, MOFSL & PL Capital have allotted a "BUY" on the stock post its positive Q1 beat.
PL Capital in its report said, "We expect opex to remain elevated, driven by continued investments in technology infrastructure and higher clearing & settlement costs linked to rising volumes, which are likely to weigh on EBITDA margins (-37bps for FY27E). We reiterate "Buy" with a multiple of 49x FY28E EPS, which was earlier 50x and a Target Price of Rs. 4,850, which is around 34% up from the current levels."
Similarly, Motilal Oswal Financial Services in its report said, " We have cut our earnings estimates by 9% and 8% for FY27 and FY28 respectively, factoring in higher opex trajectory and extrapolating the weak volume trajectory being witnessed in the past few months. However, we have not baked in any impact from the RBI regulations on proprietary trading. We reiterate our Neutral rating on the stock with a Target Price of Rs. 3,900 per share."

BSE in its June quarter reported a strong set of numbers, with its board approving the results on August 4th.
