BSNL Discontinued Lifetime Prepaid Plan, Migrates To Per Minute Plan: Details
Indian public-owned telecommunication service provider, BSNL has discontinued the lifetime prepaid plans. However, their existing customers for the plan will be migrated to the premium per minute plan. In the plan, the customers will be offered a Rs. 107 premium per minute plan.
The state-owned telecom company has stated that they will start the migration of the plan from December 1, 2021. The Rs. Rs. 107 premium per minute plan will be activated for their existing customers, and the plan's validity will be of 90 days.
The Rs. 107 premium per minute plan will offer benefits regarding data, calls, and messages. The customers can receive unlimited incoming calls. However, the data of 10GB can be accessed only for 30 days. On the other hand, in this plan, a total of 100 minutes of outgoing calls can be accessed only for 24 days, to any network. Hence, this plan is not as lucrative as the Lifetime Prepaid Plan, for the customers.
As freebie, the new customers will be able to avail of the free BSNL default tunes for 60 days, and they will get 3GB free data for 84 days. Although, the migrated users will not have access to these freebies.
Recently, other private telecom service providers like Vodafone Idea and Airtel have also increased their tariffs, to boost revenues.
