Buddha Purnima Bank Holiday: Banks To Remain Closed In These States Tomorrow

Leading private and public sector banks will remain closed on the occasion of Buddha Purnima that will be celebrated on May 23, 2024 (tomorrow) in some states according to Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) holiday list. It is worth mentioning here that bank will remain closed tomorrow in some states due to Buddha Purnima, but the digital banking services will remain available in these states' bank.

Banks are going to remain closed in Maharashtra, Tripura, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh.
Meanwhile, banks will remain closed in some cities of India as well on the occasion of Buddha Purnima. These cities are Bhopal, Aizawl, Belapur, Agartala, Chandigarh, Itanagar, Dehradun, Jammu, Kolkata, Kanpur, Mumbai, Lucknow, Nagpur, New Delhi, Ranchi, Raipur, Srinagar, and Shimla.

Meanwhile, banks will remain closed for a total of 14 days in May 2024 according to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday list. These are Lok Sabha General Elections 2024, Maharashtra Din/May Day (Labour Day), Rabindranath Tagore Birthday, Lok Sabha General Elections 2024, Basava Jayanti/Akshaya Tritiya, Buddha Pournima, State Day, and Nazrul Jayanti. These holidays vary from state to state.
