Budget 2020: Introduces Campaign Against Tuberculosis; Healthcare Allocation At Rs. 69K Cr
Putting its focus on better health care, the budget 2020 has yet again expanded its horizon and started with a campaign" TB harega, desh jeetega" to eradicate tuberculosis by 2025.
Also, taxation proceeds from medical devices will be put to create improved hospital infratsrutcure.
More Jan Aushadhi Kendras to be set up to provide medicines at affordable rates.A total of Rs. 69000 crore has been allocated to the healthcare sector in budget 2020-21.
For Swachh Bharat, the allocation has been made at Rs. 12300 crore. And Jal Jeevan Mission allocation has been fixed at Rs. 3.65 lakh crore.
