Budget 2022: What Will Be The Agriculture Sector Expect From Budget 2022-23?

Nirmala Sitharaman, the Union Finance Minister, has announced a major boost for Agriculture in the country. The Finance Minister emphasized the central government's commitment to farmers' welfare. In the entire budget for agricultural and rural development for FY22-23, the government has announced the following under the Agriculture growth in the country:

Agriculture

1. Government will pay Rs 2.37 lakh crore for wheat and paddy purchase under MSP operations - 2022-23 has been designated as the International Year of Millets.
2. A Rs 44,605 crore river-linking project in Ken Betwa has been announced.
3. To reduce imports, a streamlined plan to expand domestic oilseed production will be implemented.
4. Five river linkages' draught DPRs have been completed.
5. Invest in startups as a way to help rural businesses.
6. Drones for crop evaluation, land records, and pesticide spraying are projected to create a wave of technology in the agriculture industry, according to Kisan.
