Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget 2024 on July 23, 2024 at 11:00 am IST. She will reportedly give emphasis to economic growth, consumption, stability, labour welfate, and tax reforms among others. The presentation of Union Budget 2024, much anticipated event, will be live-streamed and citizens can view documents online. Experts have been hoping high for better measures towards enhancing growth, job creation, along with improving living standards.

Earlier, President Droupdi Murmu has already given her approval to the Budget Session of Parliament scheduled to start from July 22 to August 12. It is interesting to note that Nirmala Sitharaman will present her seventh budget in a row on July 23. With this, the finance minister set to surpass Morarji Desai's record. Desai, as India's finance minister six decades ago, presented six consecutive budgets.

In earlier years, FM Nirmala Sitharaman was presenting the union budget annually. However, it happened to be an election year when Lok Sabha polls took place. Due to this situation, two budgets would be presented in 2024. The interim budget has already been presented on February 1, 2024 and upcoming budget 2024 will be presented on July 23.
