The Budget Session of the Parliament will begin on 29 January. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will table the Economic Survey 2021 in the Parliament after the President's address.
The Economic Survey is a detailed report of the condition of the economy and is prepared by the Economic Division of the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA) under the guidance of the CEA. It mentions key challenges before the economy and the way out to tackle it.

Economic Survey 2021 be prepared by Chief Economic Adviser KV Subramanian. This year's economic survey will be crucial considering the aftermath of a chaotic year brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The crucial Budget session of Parliament will be held as per the coronavirus-induced physical distancing norms. The Union Budget 2021 will be presented in parliament on 1 February.
The session will begin with President Ram Nath Kovind's address at 11.00 am to members of both the Houses seated in three different locations for the first time in view of the pandemic.
However, this year's session is set to be stormy with as many as 18 opposition parties announcing their decision to corner the government and boycott President Kovind's address, in solidarity with the farmers protesting against the three new farm laws.
As per media reports, the opposition parties will stay away from the Presidential address this year.
