Census 2027 Self-Enumeration Deadline Today: Online Window To Close on April 30
To fill the self-enumeration form, users need to visit the official census portal and begin by selecting their State or Union Territory. After completing a simple captcha check, they must enter basic details such as the name of the head of the household, a mobile number, and optionally an email address. An OTP is then sent for verification, allowing access to the form once confirmed.

After logging in, users can choose their preferred language from English or several Indian languages. They can then proceed to fill in the required household and individual details in the census schedule. The form can be saved midway, allowing users to return and complete it later before the deadline. However, once the final submission is done, no further edits can be made.
On successful submission, the system generates a unique 11-digit Self-Enumeration ID, starting with the letter "H". This ID is sent via SMS and email and must be kept safely. When census officials visit for verification, households will need to share this ID, after which enumerators may update minor details like house number or building information if required.
