Centre Invites Bids For Paring Down Its 63.75% Stake In Shipping Corporation of India
On Tuesday, the centre invited bids for 63.75% stake sale in Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) to a private investor. The government's statement Tuesday said the deadline for submitting initial bids would be February 13.
The key asset sale drive by the government in the shipping major got delayed due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
On the move, the scrip of Shipping Corporation of India traded firm by over 3% to Rs. 85.35 per share on the BSE in an otherwise volatile market when headline indices are down by close to 0.6% or 260 points on the Sensex.
The company at the current stock price commands an overall market value of about Rs. 39.15 billion.
