Gold Rates Stabilize Amid Mixed Global Trends

Domestic gold prices consolidate as the festival season nears its end. The next major push that would be seen in India would be the wedding season, when gold is purchased as a part of tradition and culture. The demand is expected to surge, which will drive Chennai gold prices even higher.

According to the latest report from the World Gold Council, global gold demand rose by approximately 5% in the third quarter this year, reaching a record high for this period and pushing total consumption beyond $100 billion for the first time. However, the strengthening U.S. dollar and the rising bond yields are currently exerting downward pressure on gold prices. Investors are now looking forward to the US election scheduled next week, which will have a major impact on the gold prices.
