Several areas in Chennai are scheduled to face power outages on Wednesday, June 24. As per a DT Next report, Power supply will be suspended in parts of Chennai on Wednesday, June 24, as electricity workers take up scheduled maintenance across several neighbourhoods. The shutdown is expected to run from 9 am to 2 pm, with supply likely to be restored earlier if the work is completed ahead of schedule.
Chennai Power Cut: Key Affected Areas
The planned power outage is likely to impact areas under Sembium, Pallavaram and Ennore. Residents, small businesses, offices and commercial establishments in the listed localities are advised to plan their essential electricity use before the power cut window begins.
When Will Chennai Power Supply Resume on June 24?
The power supply will resume before 2 pm if the scheduled maintenance work is completed.
In Sembium, the power cut will cover Chandraprabhu Colony, Thanigachalam Nagar, Moolakadai, Annai Sathya Nagar, Venkateshwara Nagar, Police Quarters, Madhavaram High Road, KH Road, Nagaiah Thottam, Munusamy Street, Palayakkara Street, United India Nagar, K. K. Nagar and Chetty Thottam.
The Pallavaram section will see supply suspended in Keelkattalai, Balamurugan Nagar, Ambal Nagar, Thenmozhi Nagar, Boopathy Nagar, Soundarajan Nagar, Kumaran Nagar, Thiruvaluvar Nagar, Kilkatalai Bus Stand, English Electric Nagar, 200 feet Radial Road, Rose Nagar, MK Nagar and Ganapati Nagar.
Other affected locations in and around Pallavaram include Echangadu Signal, Engineers Avenue, Bakkiyalakshmi Nagar, Raja Nagar, S. Kolathur, Manikandan Nagar, Veeramani Nagar, Anbu Nagar and Self Help Industries. The outage window is the same across these localities, from 9 am to 2 pm.
