Jharkhand industrial policy talks: CII meets Hemant Soren on investment and EV ecosystem
A CII Jharkhand delegation led by Diloo Parikh met Chief Minister Hemant Soren in Ranchi to discuss industry priorities, investor confidence after the Davos visit, and the upcoming Jharkhand industrial policy. CII offered sector inputs as a knowledge partner and discussed steps to strengthen the state’s EV ecosystem through enabling policies and infrastructure.
A Confederation of Indian Industry CII Jharkhand delegation met Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday. The talks covered industry priorities and development needs for Jharkhand. CII Jharkhand Chairman Diloo Parikh led the group. CII said the state government was taking proactive steps to attract investment. The association said these efforts were improving investor confidence in Jharkhand.

In the Ranchi meeting, the delegation also congratulated Hemant Soren on the Davos visit. CII said the trip helped draw investment interest for the state. The association shared this assessment in a statement. The delegation used the meeting to raise issues linked to long-term growth. It also sought closer cooperation with the state administration.
Jharkhand Industrial Policy talks with CII Jharkhand
Discussions included the upcoming Industrial Policy of Jharkhand. CII said it wanted to work with the government on the new policy framework. The association offered industry recommendations and sector inputs. It said these inputs could make the policy more industry-friendly, future-ready, and growth-oriented. CII also said it was ready to act as a knowledge partner.
Electric Vehicle EV ecosystem focus in Jharkhand with CII Jharkhand
Another topic was strengthening the Electric Vehicle EV ecosystem in the state. Participants discussed steps to build a more vibrant EV ecosystem in Jharkhand. These included enabling policies and better infrastructure. The talks also covered wider industry participation. Sustainable mobility solutions were also part of the discussion, the statement said.
Tribal entrepreneurship support in Jharkhand with CII Jharkhand
The meeting also stressed the need to promote tribal entrepreneurship in the state. CII and the Jharkhand government discussed possible joint initiatives. These were aimed at encouraging tribal entrepreneurs. The areas mentioned included skill development and market linkages. They also discussed enterprise support and capacity-building programmes to help new businesses.
The delegation said it would be pleased to take an active role in policy development. CII framed the engagement as a way to align government plans with industry needs. The association said the discussions covered investment, policy design, electric mobility, and tribal enterprise support. The meeting ended with both sides noting scope for future collaboration.
