CJP Protest Latest Update: From Boston to Jantar Mantar: Abhijeet Dipke Joins Supporters in Delhi

Leading the protest was CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, who travelled from Boston to join supporters in Delhi. Ahead of the gathering, Dipke had appealed to participants to maintain discipline and ensure that the demonstration remained peaceful. Throughout the day, protesters raised slogans against the government and called for accountability over alleged lapses in the conduct of high-stakes examinations.

Why Is CJP Demanding Dharmendra Pradhan's Resignation?

At the centre of the protest is the group's demand that Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan step down over what it describes as systemic failures affecting India's examination ecosystem. CJP has linked its demand to the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, administrative shortcomings and concerns surrounding vulnerabilities in the CBSE's On-Screen Marking process.

According to the movement, repeated controversies involving national-level examinations have weakened public confidence in systems that determine the academic futures of millions of students. Protesters argued that allegations of paper leaks, procedural lapses and examination-related irregularities require greater accountability from those overseeing the country's education framework.

Earlier in the day, the movement reiterated its position through a message posted on its official social media handle, stating that the protest at Jantar Mantar was being conducted under the constitutional right to peaceful democratic expression while demanding the minister's resignation.

Sonam Wangchuk & More Key Figures To Join CJP Protest in Delhi

The protest also received support from several prominent public figures. Activist and education reform advocate Sonam Wangchuk, who had earlier praised the movement, joined the gathering and expressed solidarity with students seeking greater transparency and accountability in examinations.

Actor Prakash Raj, a frequent critic of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had earlier indicated his willingness to participate in the Delhi protest and voiced support for the movement's concerns regarding examination integrity.

Actor Atul Kulkarni also extended support to the campaign ahead of the demonstration, addressing a message to young Indians and encouraging them to make their voices heard through democratic means.

Political backing for the protest came from Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray, who supported the CJP's demand for accountability and called for Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation ahead of the Jantar Mantar demonstration.
