CNG, PNG Rates Today, June 1, 2026: Check Prices In Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, More Cities

The compressed natural gas (CNG) and piped natural gas (PNG) rates witnessed significant hikes in May 2026 by gas distributing companies like Indraprastha Gas and Mahanagar Gas. The West Asia conflict continues to be extremely intense, as a ceasefire agreement between US and Iran is still foggy, keeping the fate of the Strait of Hormuz dangling. Global energy crisis along with oil and gas supply shortages, has pushed companies to raise petroleum product prices, including CNG and PNG. That being said, here are the latest rates city-wise on June 1, 2026.

CNG Rates In India:

Ahead of June 2026, Mahanagar Gas hiked the prices of CNG across Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai and other parts of the MMR, by Rs 2 per Kg. This is the second consecutive hike by MGL in CNG prices in the month of May alone. Earlier, MGL hiked CNG by Rs 2 per Kg on May 14, 2026.

MGL is not alone; even its rival Indraprastha Gas (IGL) has increased CNG prices several times in May. IGL hiked CNG in Delhi and other northern cities by Rs 2 per Kg on May 26, making it the fourth upward revision in two weeks. Earlier, IGL hiked CNG prices by Re 1 per Kg.

This is expected to push CNG-run vehicles such as autos and taxis to increase their fares as well, as they rely majorly on compressed natural gas.

On June 1, 2026, 1Kg CNG is priced at Rs 83.09 in Delhi, while the rate is at Rs 86 in Mumbai. CNG is most expensive in cities like Hyderabad, Firozabad, and Mathura to Rs 97 per Kg. Also, CNG is at Rs 95 per Kg in cities like Chennai, Bengaluru, Bharatpur, and Dewas. The cheapest available CNG is in Delhi and NCR.
