CNG, PNG Prices Raised

In line with the recent increase in petrol and diesel prices that have hit record highs, prices of CNG and PNG in India were also raised with effect from 2 March.

CNG, PNG Prices Raised

The price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) rose by 70 paise, taking its rates in New Delhi to Rs 43.40 per kilogram. The price was Piped Natural Gas (PNG) also climbed to Rs 28.41 SCM (Standard Cubic Meter). It was an increase of 91 paise per SCM, which is in addition to the increase in the price of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) by Rs 25 since 1 March.

In a tweet, Indraprastha Gas Ltd said, "With effect from 6 am on 2nd March 2021, revised CNG price in NCT of Delhi is Rs.43.40/- per kg; while revised PNG price is Rs.28.41/- per SCM (including VAT)."

Meanwhile, petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged for the third straight day.

Petrol prices per litre stayed at Rs 91.17 in New Delhi, Rs 91.35 in Kolkata, Rs 97.57 in Mumbai and Rs 93.11 in Chennai.

Diesel prices per litre were stagnant at Rs 81.47 in New Delhi, Rs 84.35 in Kolkata, Rs 88.60 in Mumbai and Rs 86.45 in Chennai.
