Veteran trade analyst Taran Adarsh awarded the film four stars, calling Cocktail 2 a winner that "more than lives up to expectations."

He praised the performances, music, cinematography and screenplay, highlighting the film's unpredictability as one of its biggest strengths. Adarsh particularly appreciated the visually rich Sicily portions, Pritam's soundtrack and Kriti Sanon's performance, describing them among the major highlights of the film.

He also stated that Shahid Kapoor delivers one of the strongest performances in the film, while mentioning that Rashmika Mandanna's character did not receive enough opportunities to fully shine.
