Cognizant, Microsoft Boost GenAI Use

The partnership is not just a step towards technological advancement but is also seen as a major economic booster. It is anticipated to contribute significantly to the US GDP, with projections indicating an injection of USD 1 trillion over the coming decade. Moreover, this alliance holds promising prospects for India, with AI expected to add between USD 450-500 billion to India's GDP by 2025. This boost is projected to account for 10 percent of the country's ambitious USD 5 trillion GDP target.

As part of this collaboration, Cognizant has acquired 25,000 Microsoft 365 Copilot seats for its associates. Additionally, the purchase includes 500 Sales Copilot seats and 500 Services Copilot seats. The company has set an ambitious goal to deploy Microsoft 365 Copilot to a million users within its extensive network of 2,000 global clients.

Judson Althoff, Executive Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer at Microsoft, expressed enthusiasm about the expanded partnership. He highlighted that combining Cognizant's industry expertise with Microsoft's advanced Copilot capabilities — including those for Microsoft 365 and GitHub Copilot — will significantly drive AI adoption and innovation. This collaboration is poised to transform business operations, elevate employee experiences, and create new value for customers across the globe.

This partnership between Cognizant and Microsoft represents a pivotal step in harnessing the potential of generative AI to accelerate cross-industry innovation. By integrating Cognizant's digital transformation services with Microsoft's advanced AI tools, the alliance is set to redefine operational efficiencies and strategic business transformations, marking a new era in the application of artificial intelligence in the corporate world.
