Citizens living in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai can heave a sigh of relief today as the prices of 19-kg commercial LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) cylinders in four leading metropolitan cities have fallen. State-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) introduced a reduction of up to Rs 57.5 per cylinder in cost of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders and new rates have already become effective from November 16.
The new prices of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders will be reflected for four metropolitan cities namely Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai. The decline in the prices of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders have come as a huge respite for customers after prices were increased by Rs 101.5 per cylinder before Diwali.

After revision, 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi will cost Rs 1775.5, Rs 1885.5 in Kolkata, Rs 1728 in financial capital of India Mumbai, and Rs 1942 in Chennai. It is worth mentioning here that prices for domestic LPG cylinders will remain the same.
During the beginning of November, the state-run oil marketing companies increased the cost of commercial LPG cylinders at various places in India for 2nd time in the last two months. Prices of commercial and domestic LPG cylinders witness monthly revision on the 1st day of every month in India.
The latest decline in the prices of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders is expected to cheer hotels and restaurant owners as it will ultimately bring down the costs of cooking.
