Cryptocurrency Is Gaining In Trade, But At Slow Pace, Bitcoin Quoted At US$ 19,692
Cryptocurrency is gaining, but the pace is slow in the global markets. Today, on September 30, at 5.55 pm UTC, Bitcoin surged by 0.51% intra day trading and was quoted at US$ 19,692.10. Yesterday, Bitcoin closed at US$ 19,592.40.
However, Bitcoin, in the last 5 days gained by 4.70%. In the past 1 month, it has dropped by 1.79%. Additionally, in the last 6 months, Bitcoin plunged by 56.76%.
On the other hand, other major cryptocurrencies have mostly gained today. Ethereum was quoted at US$ 1,344.35, up by 0.63%. Yesterday, Ethereum closed at US$ 1,335.97. Litecoin was quoted at US$ 54.03, up by 0.093%, Dogecoin was quoted at US$ 0.0607 up by 0.16%, and Cardano was quoted at US$ 0.4339 down 0.73% today, till last traded.
Meanwhile, the US stock markets are stuck in the bear zone. S&P 500 was down by 0.60%, stood at 3,618.64 points, and Nasdaq Composite was down by 0.42%, stood at 10,692.13, at the time of writing today. However, the US Dollar index quoted at 112.11 today, falling by 0.13%.
Commenting on the crypto market, a CoinDesk data said, "October has been a good month for bitcoin (BTC) and traders may be looking forward to capitalizing on the bullish seasonality, having seen the cryptocurrency hold steady through recent traditional market turmoil. Bitcoin has put in a positive performance in October in eight out of the past 12 years, with an average return of around 30%, according to historical data sourced from charting platform TradingView. In other words, October has generated positive returns 66% of the time. However, one indicator tracking the U.S. dollar liquidity calls for caution on the part of the bulls."
