The cryptocurrency market traded in the green on Thursday as the global crypto market cap soared 3.35% at $1.32 Trillion. The total crypto market volume over the last 24 hours rose 37.77% to $56.27 Billion. The total volume in DeFi according to CoinMarketCap is currently $5.7 Billion, 10.14% of the total crypto market 24-hour volume.

The volume of all stablecoins is now $50.25 Billion, which is 89.31% of the total crypto market 24-hour volume.
Today, Bitcoin price was up 3.87% at $35,800.87 per token at the time of filing this copy. Bitcoin has a current market capitalization of $698,866,388,214, according to CoinMarketCap data.

On Thursday, the recent rally seen in Bitcoin's price surged even further on news that MicroStrategy bought an additional 155 bitcoins for $5.3 million, strengthening its cryptocurrency portfolio. The acquisition augments the company's already hefty investment into the digital currency space.

Meanwhile, there has been a positive movement in the price of Bitcoin since last week on optimism that the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will give approval to a US-based spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) either by the end of this year or by January 10, 2024.

Ethereum price was up 3.35% at $1,871.08 per token. At this price, the market cap of the world's second largest cryptocurrency Ethereum rose over 3%.
