Cryptocurrency Price Today September 28: Bitcoin, Ethereum Trade Higher; Global Crypto Market Cap Rises

The global crypto market cap rose 0.51% at $1.05 Trillion on Thursday (September 28) as the price of major cryptocurrencies traded higher today. Bitcoin price was up 0.53% at $26,362.70 per token, while Ethereum price was up 0.95% at $1,605.30 per token. Bitcoin and Ethereum are the world's two largest cryptocurrencies in terms of market cap and any significant increase in the price of the two cryptocurrencies contributes to the gains in the global crypto market cap.

In what is seen as a positive development for Bitcoin price, according to reports Shanghai has recognized Bitcoin as a unique and non-replicable digital asset while acknowledging its scarcity and inherent value. It is believed that this development has paved the way for crypto expansion in China.

The total crypto market volume over the last 24 hours increased 26.41% to $28.77 Billion. The total volume in DeFi at the time of writing stands at $2.74 Billion, 9.51% of the total crypto market 24-hour volume. The volume of all stablecoins currently is $27.15 Billion, which is 94.37% of the total crypto market 24-hour volume.
