DA Hike: Central Govt. Expected To Get 18 Months Arrears At One Go
As per a leading online portal, central government employees may be given 1.5 years DA or dearness allowance at one go. This will be given as a one time settlement amounting to Rs. 2 lakh. There is no confirmed news on the same but deliberations are being made.

Further as per a media report that quoted Shiv Gopal Mishra of the National Council of JCM who stated that the DA arrears of level 1 employees range from Rs. 11800 to Rs. 37554. While the same for Level-13 (7th CPC basic pay scale Rs. 1,23,100 to Rs. 215900) or Level-14, he DA arrears of central government employees will be Rs 1,44,200 and 2,18,200 respectively.
Dearness allowance is a component of salary of government employees as well as pensioners. In view of the increasing inflation, the central government revise the DA as well as DR component twice yearly in January and July. Further, it varies from employees to employees depending on whether they work in urban, semi-urban or rural sector.
