Deepinder Goyal's Temple Launch: What Is the Viral Brain-Monitoring Device and How to Apply for Early Access?
Zomato Founder, Deepinder Goyal took the internet by storm when he appeared on the Raj Shamani's podcast wearing a small metallic device attached to the side of his head. Soon after the episode aired, social media users began speculating about the mysterious gadget and trying to figure out what it actually was.
The curiosity grew even further when Deepinder Goyal himself spoke briefly about the device, called "Temple," without revealing too many details. He described it as being "just in a budding stage," which sparked even more discussions online about its purpose and future use.
Now, Goyal has officially announced the rollout of the first batch of 100 Temple devices, bringing the mysterious wearable back into the spotlight. Here's everything you need to know about Temple, the internet's latest tech obsession.
What is a Temple?
According to Depinder, Temple is a brain blood-flow monitoring device developed under his tech venture Eternal. Designed to provide real-time insights into cognitive health, Temple could mark one of the major shifts toward deep-tech consumer wellness tools.

The Temple device is designed to sit near the temple region and track cerebral blood flow in real time. It is a non-invasive sensor which will observe how blood circulation to the brain changes with posture, activity, and during stress situations.
Temple's website has described it as: "a precision instrument, built to get the most out of your training, recovery, work, and sleep."
Where is it Worn & Why?
Unlike traditional wrist-based wearables, the product is designed to be worn on the temple region of the head. The placement allows the device to capture biological signals such as blood flow and skin activity with greater accuracy, since that area has thinner tissue and dense vascular structures.
The idea for Temple, according to Goyal's Linkedin post, came out of his long-running personal efforts toward health optimisation including blood tracking, fasting, meditation, hyperbaric chamber routines, and a range of supplements. This eventually led him to the Gravity Ageing Hypothesis, a concept where gravity itself may apply forces that directly influence the process of ageing.
If Temple works as he intends, it could be used by anyone from students who are monitoring focus and fatigue, to businesspeople, athletes, elderly, and clinicians who are looking for additional diagnostic data.
Temple's Current Launch Status
Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal announced on May 5 that the first batch of 100 Temple devices is ready for shipment, the initial rollout. He said the initial cohort will include "athletes, scientists, founders, doctors, creators, and individuals who care deeply about their physical and cognitive health," referring to them as the product's founding users.
Temple is currently accessible only through a limited early access programme. The device is not yet available to the general public.
