Delhi SIR 2026 Begins July 1: How to Check Electoral Roll, Verify Your Name, Eligibility, Process & Key Dates
One of the biggest voter verification drives in the national capital is set to begin as the Election Commission launches the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Delhi's electoral rolls from July 1. More than 13,000 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will fan out across the city over the coming weeks to verify voter details, distribute enumeration forms and help update the electoral database ahead of the publication of the revised voter list in October.

The exercise will cover nearly 1.45 crore registered voters across Delhi's 70 Assembly constituencies and seven Lok Sabha seats. For residents, this is an important opportunity to ensure their names, addresses and other personal details are correctly reflected in the electoral roll before the next election.
Delhi Voter Roll Update: What to Do When BLO Visits Your Home for SIR 2026
Beginning July 1, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will visit every household in Delhi until July 29.
During the visit, voters will receive two copies of an Enumeration Form. One copy will serve as an acknowledgement, while the second copy must be filled after verifying personal details and returned to the BLO.

Residents who are unavailable during the visit can also complete the process online. However, officials have advised voters to ensure all information matches their official identity and address records to avoid objections later.
Importantly, if a house is locked, the BLO will not mark the voter absent after just one attempt. Officials have said BLOs will make at least three visits, offering flexibility to working professionals, students and families who may not be home during the day.
Delhi SIR 2026: Step-by-Step Process for Voters
Residents should follow these simple steps during the revision exercise:
Step 1: Receive the Enumeration Form from the Booth Level Officer or opt for online submission.
