After the excise duty cut around Diwali, petrol and diesel prices fell from record high levels. Further the centre nudged states to even proportionately reduce VAT and following the directions some 27 states and Union Territories have slashed VAT.

Today, the National Capital-Delhi led by Arvind Kejriwal has taken a decision to reduce VAT on petrol from 30 percent to 19.4 percent, likewise petrol price in the capital city shall come down by Rs. 8 per litre. As per the ANI tweet, the new lowered revised rate shall come into effect from December 2, 2021.

 

The decision to this effect has been taken at the cabinet meet headed by the Chief Minister, PTI reported. So, from tomorrow, petrol rate in Delhi which currently is at 103.97 shall be reduced to around Rs. 95 per litre.
