Delhi Travel Alert: Delhi Police Issues Advisory As Securities On High Alert Post Red Fort Blast

Delhi Travel Alert: The Delhi Police has issued travel advisory for its residents and urged people to arrive early at railway stations, metro stations, and the airport. The travel advisory has come amid heightened security after the car explosion near the Red Fort Metro station on 10 November. The blast took thirteen lives and left around 25 people injured.

People have been asked to leave early from their homes to arrive at locations like railway stations, metro stations, and airport. This would allow them to deal with any kind of delays and traffic-jam related issues.

Delhi travel advisory will ensure that people can avoid last-minute inconvenience, and facilitate timely boarding amid the intensified security measures.

"In view of the heightened security arrangements in the National Capital, all passengers are advised to reach the railway stations, metro stations and airport well in advance-Railways at least one hour before the scheduled departure of their trains; Metro at least 20 minutes before the scheduled departure of metro; Airport at least 3 hours before the scheduled international flight. The advisory has been issued to ensure smooth security checks, avoid last-minute inconvenience, and facilitate timely boarding amid the intensified security measures in and around major railway stations, metro stations and airport of Delhi," stated Jt. CP Milind Dumbre, Delhi Police in a statement.

Delhi Travel Alert: Advisory and Guidelines Issued

-For those who are travelling via train on Friday or in the coming days, they are required to arrive at he railway station nearly one hour before departure. Whereas, metro travellers are required to be present on the stations nearly 20 minutes prior to their trains departure time.
-For international flights, air passengers are strongly advised to reach the airport a minimum of three hours ahead of their scheduled flight. Authorities request public cooperation to maintain safety during this period of increased security vigilance.

Meanwhile, investigations into the Red Fort blast continue as authorities gather evidence against Dr Umar Un Nabi, who was killed in the explosion but is considered the main suspect. New CCTV footage shows Dr Umar entering Delhi via the Badarpur border in a white Hyundai i20 car. The footage captures him stopping at a toll gate and handing cash to the collector.

Security agencies have reportedly found diaries belonging to Dr Umar and another accused individual, Dr Muzammil. These diaries reference dates from 8 to 12 November, suggesting planning for an incident during that period. They also list approximately 25 names, mostly from Jammu and Kashmir and Faridabad.
