Dhurandhar 2 Box Office: Ranveer Singh's Thriller Is Bollywood's Biggest Superhit; Beats Jawan, Animal, More

Dhurandhar: The Revenge Box Office Collection: Ranveer Singh's action thriller, Dhurandhar 2, is a masterpiece that Bollywood has ever had. After crossing the Rs 100 crore club on the opening day, Dhurandhar goes on to beat record-breaking movies like Stree 2, Jawan, Animal, Pathan and more. Not to forget, Dhurandhar has long surpassed its predecessor that was released in 2025. But astonishingly, Dhurandhar 2 is a potential contender to outperform Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2, which currently holds the record of highest grosser in Indian cinema history.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge Box Office Collection Day 3:

As per the latest update on March 21st, Dhurandhar 2 bagged Rs 38.21 crore collection till 1:32 pm on Saturday. It needs to be noted that the collection estimates are of morning shows; the data of afternoon, evening and night will be factored in later in the day. So stay tuned for more updates!

By just in the morning shows, Dhurandhar 2 saw its the highest occupancy of 73% due to the weekend holiday. Dhurandhar 2 had 9,337 shows in the first half of the day.

Currently, Dhurandhar 2's massive demand comes from Hindi shows which had 74.7% occupancy and garnered Rs 35.28 crore net collection. In Tamil and Telugu version, the collection was approximately Rs 0.90 crore and Rs 2.03 crore, with occupancy of 46% and 65%.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge Box Office Collection Day 1 & Day 2:

Dhurandhar 2 which released on March 19th during the celebration of Gudi Padwa, Chaitra Navratri and Udagi, became a blockbuster by crossing Rs 102.55 crore mark in net collection in India alone. During the premier, it had 21,633 shows with an occupancy of 67.8%.

Further, on Day 2, Dhurandhar 2 saw mild dip in occupancy to 62.6% but still had around 20,125 screenplays. The total collection on March 20th stood at Rs 80.72 crore.

According to Sacnilk data, after the first two days, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has delivered a massive ₹226.27 Cr India net, comfortably outperforming the two-day totals of several recent big-ticket releases. When compared to the Day 1 and Day 2 performance of Animal, Jawan, and Pathaan, Dhurandhar 2 holds a significant lead in India net collections as well as India gross collections.

It added, setting a new gold standard for the first 48 hours, Dhurandhar 2 has surged past the Day 2 totals of Animal, Jawan, and Pathaan by a massive margin, establishing a record-breaking pace that remains unmatched by any previous blockbuster. The coming days will now determine how far ahead Dhurandhar 2 can push this early lead compared to these benchmark films.

Dhurandhar 2 vs Pathaan vs Jawan vs Animal Box Office Collection:

Data from Sacnilk revealed that Dhurandhar 2 has outperformed two of the superhits of Bollywood's King, Shah Rukh Khan. These two are Pathaan and Jawan. Not too forget, Ranveer Singh even surpasses the collection of Pathaan in which his wife Deepika Padukone was the leading lady.

Pathaan Box Office Collection:

It took Pathaan two days to cross Rs 100 crore mark. On its first day, the movie bagged Rs 57 crore collection and by end of second day, the net earnings were around Rs 70.50 crore. Hence, Pathaan's net collection were about Rs 127.50 crore on net basis and Rs 150.28 crore on gross basis in just 2 days of its release in 2023.

Jawan Box Office Collection:

Coming to Jawan, it was yet another masterpiece of SRK in 2023. However, Jawan also took two days time to cross Rs 100 crore mark like Pathaan. Jawan's gross collection stood at Rs 153 crore in India alone, but total collection came around Rs 239.47 crore worldwide.

Animal Box Office Collection:

And then there is Animal movie which stars Ranbir Kapoor. Animal which was also released in 2023, bagged a net collection of Rs 130.07 crore in its first two days. Its worldwide gross collection had hit Rs 236 crore by end of Day 2.

The film's storyline loosely draws inspiration from multiple real-life geopolitical events and conflicts in South Asia, such as Operation Lyari, 2014 Indian general election, 2016 Indian banknote demonetisation and various other events. Shot back-to-back alongside the first part, principal photography began in July 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand, and wrapped in October 2025. Filming took place across Punjab, Chandigarh, Maharashtra, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh in India, and Thailand; with some areas doubling for Pakistan-set sequences. The film features music composed by Shashwat Sachdev, cinematography by Vikash Nowlakha and editing by Shivkumar V. Panicker. With a runtime of 229 minutes, it is the eighth longest Indian film ever produced, as per Wikipedia.

Dhurandhar The Revenge introduces Jaskirat Singh Rangi, tracing the chain of events that compel him to become Hamza Ali Mazari, and follows his rise as he operates deep inside Pakistan. The film returns this time in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, as per the official trailer release.

The sequel once again has Ranveer Singh in the lead role. Alongside him, the movie will have a power-packed cast including Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Danish Pandor and Gaurav Gera.
