Didn't got your EPF interest credited for the last fiscal year which the department has begun to credit of 8.5%. Earlier there was a consideration being made that in view of the market losses amid the pandemic, the EPFO shall credit interest rate into subscriber's account in two tranches, but now as there has been made redemptions from ETFs, the interest is being given out as a whole.
Now, if you as an EPF subscriber are still to get the refund, you need to log a complaint at the EPFO site. Needless to say you should be sure that your interest credit is still to be received and for it you can check in your EPF account status by logging into the EPFO site or via UMANG app, you can know it. Here, in the government rolled out app, after you have logged in through your registered mobile number, you need to go to the Service Directory option. Now, you need to view passbook by going to that particular option which says ' View passbook' and check balance using UAN and OTP.
Also, balance in EPF can be checked without internet as you can give a missed call on this number 011-22901406 from one's registered mobile number too.
Now, in a case when you have not got interest credited in your EPF account, here's how to lodge a complaint for faster resolution of your EPF related grievance:
For registering a complaint, go to epfindia.gov.in
On the home page, there is this link given called Register grievance click on that.
Status such as PF member, EPF member, employers etc. will be displayed for your perusal. Now, you need to specifically select the PF member for PF interest related issue.
Enter captcha and UAN, your complaint shall be acknowledged by the department with a service number for the same.
