Diesel Prices See A Cut Again; Crude Rates See The Longest Run Of Losses Since Feb 2020
While prices of petrol have been maintained as though across the country for over a month now, there has been seen a cut in diesel rates for 3 consecutive days now as on Friday (August 20, 2021). The cut in diesel price across metro cities is between 18 paise to 25 paise.
Meanwhile, in the international markets, the WTI crude futures fell by 2.7% to close at $63.69 per barrel as on Thursday, extending its losing run for the sixth straight session, the longest since February 2020. The drag came owing to strength in the dollar and concerns around rising delta variant cases stoking demand revival concerns for the commodity. Last, the WTI crude futures was seen quoting higher by a tad 0.03% at $63.52 per barrel.
