Divi's Labs Reports 31% Rise In Net Profit At Rs 471 Crore
On Saturday, Divi's Laboratories reported a 31.05% increase in its net profit at Rs 470.62 crore for the December-ended quarter, on the back of robust sales. In the same period of the corresponding year, the company posted a net profit of Rs 359.09 crore.
In a BSE filing, Divi's Laboratories said that the total income of the company on a consolidated basis stood at Rs 1,720.76 crore for the quarter under consideration.
It was Rs 1,437.93 crore for the same period a year ago, it added.
The company has been able to have normalised operations during the quarter, Divi's Laboratories said.
The Operating profit or earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation for the Hyderabad-based company rose 45% from the previous year to Rs 688.7 crore. Margins expanded 640 basis points to 40.5% from 34.1% last year.
In December last year, Divi's Laboratories became only the second listed pharma company in India to cross the Rs 1 lakh crore market cap.
Shares of the pharma company closed 4.73% higher at Rs 3,853 on NSE on Friday.
