Dividend Alert: Shares of Bharat Electronics Limited surged during Friday's trading session after the zero-debt defence PSU fixed record date for final dividend announced for the financial year 2026-27.

BEL stock was trading 0.31% higher at Rs 400.4 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 2,92,683.54 crore at 1:22 pm. The stock had touched an intraday high mark of Rs 402.90 per share and an intraday low mark of Rs 398.35 per share.

BEL Dividend Update

The PSU's board of directors earlier approved a final dividend for FY26. The board had recommended "a final dividend for Rs 0.55 per equity share with a face value of Re 1 each fully paid-up for the financial year 2025-26," as per the BSE filing released earlier. The dividend payment will be done after getting approval by the shareholders in the ensuing Annual General Meeting of the Company.

BEL Dividend Record Date | How To Become Eligible?

The board has fixed Thursday, August 13, as the record date for dividend payment. "The Board of Directors has fixed Thursday, the 13th August, 2026, as Record Date for the purpose of payment of Final Dividend on Equity Shares for the Financial Year 2025-26, if declared at the 72nd Annual General Meeting of the company." Investors must own the defence PSU stock before the record date to become eligible for the dividend payout.

BEL Q1 Result Recap

The company had reported a net profit of Rs 1,048.33 crore in the first quarter of financial year 2026-27. The defence equipment manufacturer's net profit stood at Rs 2,203.16 crore in the March quarter of FY26, and at Rs 6,048.48 in the financial year 2025-26. BEL's net revenue from operations stood at Rs 5,533.06 crore in Q1FY27 against Rs 10,177.17 crore in the March quarter of FY27. Its earnings per share (EPS) stood at Rs 1.43.

The stock was trading in green on Friday. Its share price value touched its 52-week high mark of Rs 473.25 per share on March 6, 2026. The stock dipped to its 52-week low mark of Rs 361.05 per share on August 28, 2025. The stock has a return on equity (ROE) of 35.22%. Its share price value has declined 8.9% in six months. But it has surged around 33% in two years.
