The muhurat trading 2023 was a banger with impressive upside across indices. The benchmark Nifty 50 crossed over 19,500 levels, while Sensex zoomed over 350 points. Smallcap stocks were star performers, while significant buying was seen in realty, auto, consumer durables, metal, power, and IT stocks. Heavyweight stocks like Reliance, HDFC Bank, ITC, HUL, Infosys, and TCS also lifted the broader market. Tata stocks also saw some notable buying.
After muhurat trading hours, Sensex closed at 65,259.45, up by 354.77 points or 0.55%, while Nifty 50 jumped 100.20 points or 0.52% to settle at 19,525.55. Bank Nifty gained by 176.55 points or 0.40% to end at 43,996.65.

Sensex
Gainers:
Infosys (+1.41%), Wipro (+0.9%), Asian Paints (+0.8%), TCS (+0.77%), and NTPC (+0.74%).
Losers:
Sun Pharma and Ultratech Cement marginally down.
Of the total 30-scrips on Sensex, 27 stocks advanced while 3 stocks declined.
Nifty 50
Gainers:
Coal India (+2.80%), UPL (+1.5%), Infosys (+1.47%), Eicher Motors (+0.98%), and Wipro (+0.98%).
Losers:
Britannia, Sun Pharma, Apollo Hospital, Bajaj Finserv and LTI Mindtree were marginally down.
Of the total 50 scrips on the benchmark, 43 advanced, and 7 stocks declined.
BSE
Gainers:
Welspun Corp (+8.44%), Caplin Point Laboratories (+8.17%), Share India (+7.18%), Cressanda Solutions (+7.17%), and Inox Wind (+7.05%).
Losers:
Tamil Nadu Newsprint & Papers (-6.99%), TGV Sraac (-5.20%), PTC Industries (5%), ESAB India (-4.60%), and Galaxy Surfactants (-3%).
NSE
Gainers:
PIX Transmissions (+20% upper circuit), DPSC (+20% upper circuit), Windsor Machines (+18.91%), Palash Securities (+17.09%), and Antony Waste Handling Cell (+14.63%).
Losers:
Cambridge Technology (-7.43%), TNPL (-7.26%), RKEC Projects (-7.04%), Manaksia Aluminium (-6.42%), and Sastasundar Ventures (-6.08%).
