DK Shivakumar Net Worth: Karnataka's Next CM-Designate Owns Assets Worth Rs. 1,413 Cr; Check What He Owns

A major political transition is currently happening in Karnataka as Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has stepped down after months of speculation over a power-sharing arrangement within the Congress government, and Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar is set to take over as the next Chief Minister.

DK Shivakumar's Total Net Worth

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and senior Congress leader DK Shivakumar is among the wealthiest politicians in India. According to the affidavit filed during the 2023 Karnataka Assembly elections, Shivakumar and his family declared total assets worth Rs. 1,413.78 crore, reflecting a substantial increase in wealth over the past five years.

As per the 2023 election affidavit, DK Shivakumar's family reported total assets worth Rs. 1,413.78 crore.

Out of this, movable assets stood at Rs. 273.42 crore, while immovable assets were valued at Rs. 1,140.36 crore. The family's total liabilities were declared at around Rs. 503 crore.

Shivakumar's personal assets were valued at Rs. 1,214.93 crore, including movable assets worth Rs. 251.69 crore and immovable properties worth Rs. 972.65 crore.

Massive Real Estate Portfolio

A big portion of Shivakumar's wealth comes from real estate holdings spread across Karnataka and other parts of India.

According to the affidavit, he and his wife jointly own agricultural land worth nearly Rs. 30 crore. The family also owns several residential properties, houses, and flats in Bengaluru and Delhi, with a combined estimated value exceeding Rs. 84 crore.

One of the most notable assets in the portfolio is Bengaluru's Global Mall, which was declared to be worth nearly Rs. 900 crore. The family also owns multiple commercial establishments, shops, and other income-generating properties valued at several crores.

Investments, Deposits and Financial Holdings

The affidavit shows that Shivakumar and his wife have invested around Rs. 4.20 crore in various companies and financial instruments.
These investments include holdings linked to Union Bank, Bank of Baroda, Kaustubh Projects and Vikras Developers. In addition, the Congress leader reported fixed deposits worth nearly Rs. 9 crore.

The family's bank deposits across multiple accounts exceeded Rs. 16 crore, highlighting significant financial holdings beyond real estate assets.
Luxury Watches, Jewellery and Other Assets

The Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister also disclosed ownership of luxury watches from premium brands such as Rolex and Hublot, with individual pieces valued in lakhs of rupees.

The combined value of jewellery, gold, silver, diamonds and other precious items owned by Shivakumar, his wife and children was declared at more than Rs. 3.28 crore.

With declared assets exceeding Rs. 1,400 crore, DK Shivakumar continues to rank among the wealthiest politicians in the country. His extensive real estate portfolio, commercial properties, investments and financial assets have contributed majorly to his growing net worth.
