DLF, the real estate company, is now an index constituent of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) in emerging markets category. It is the only real estate player from India to be added to the DJSI index. Besides there are 11 other Indian origin companies that form the part of the benchmark for Corporate Sustainability.

"With dynamically evolving environmental and social landscape, sustainability is the only way forward for us. Based on innovation and backed by sound governance, we are making dedicated efforts to promote resource efficiency, a low carbon economy and local socio-economic development," said Rajiv Singh, Chairman, DLF.
On various parameters such as governance, social and environment, the company got 93 percentile. While for other criterions including social reporting , environmental reporting and social integration it attained 100 percent.
Furthermore, in accordance with Corporate Sustainability standards in 2020, the real estate developer currently is at 18th position among 250 global real estate companies spanning the US, UK, Singapore, Hong Kong etc
DJSI Emerging Markets Index in its 2020 edition acknowledged 100 companies across sectors in emerging markets such as China, Brazil, Hong Kong, Mexico, Chile, Thailand, Taiwan, Colombia etc. other than India as emerging-market sustainability leaders.
