DMart Records 21% YoY Revenue Growth With Q4 Net Profit Surging To Rs 460 Crore

DMart, one of India's leading retail chains, recently announced its Q4 results for the current financial year, revealing a considerable increase in both revenue and net profit for the quarter ending in March, which was Rs 460 crore, up 8% from Rs 427 crore recorded in the same quarter the previous year.

Avenue Supermarts said in an exchange filing that its net profit for the third quarter of FY23 was Rs 590 crore.

The company recorded an increase in consolidated income from operations of 21% YoY (year over year), from Rs 8,786 crore to Rs 10,594 crore. In the third quarter of 2022, revenue totaled Rs. 11,569 crore.

However, revenue fell from the quarter that ended in December, which showed Rs 11,304.58 crore in revenue, while net profit fell from Rs 641.07 crore in the quarter that concluded in December.

According to DMart, expenses increased from Rs 7,999.03 crore to Rs 9,709.20 crore in the same period last year.

In comparison to the same period last year, the company's margins dropped from 8.6% to 7.6%. EBITDA, or earnings before taxes, interest, depreciation, amortisation and climbed by 5.5% to Rs 783 crore.
