Dr Agarwals Group of Eye Hospitals to Invest Rs 100 Crore in Kerala

The Dr Agarwals Group of Eye Hospitals, a leading eye care provider based in Chennai, has announced plans to invest Rs 100 crore in the state of Kerala. The investment will be used to set up new hospitals and modernize existing infrastructure facilities.

New Hospital in Kozhikode

As part of its expansion plan, Dr Agarwals Group has already inaugurated a new hospital in Kozhikode. The 10,000 sq ft hospital is located at Patteri, Pottammal and offers high-end facilities for the diagnosis and treatment of cornea, retina, refractive, cataract, among others.

Commitment to Kerala

Dr Agarwals Group chief operating officer Rahul Agarwal said, "We are committed to transforming Kerala into a destination for world class eye care services. We are investing about Rs 100 crore in Kerala over the next two years." The investment will go towards adding new hospitals and modernizing the existing four hospitals in Kerala.

Expansion Plans

By the end of the next financial year, the Group is looking to open its second facility in Thiruvananthapuram. Plans are also afoot to have a presence in Kannur, Thrissur, Palakkad, Kollam, Thalassery and Malappuram by the end of 2025-26.

Free Consultations

Following the inauguration of the new facility in Calicut, the hospital will offer free consultations till the end of this month to its patients.
