Dr. Reddys Launches Oral Anti Covid 19 Drug; Shares Gain Over 1%

Dr. Reddy's shares shall be in focus in today's trade i.e. June 28, 2021 as the company has come up with the Covid 19 medicine 2 Deoxy D glucose (2 DG). The pricing of the drug has been fixed at Rs. 999 per sachet.

The scrip in early trade gained by a tad bit gaining 0.25% and hit a day's high price of Rs. 5363 per share. The scrip is over 3.7% percent away from its 52-week high price of Rs. 5515.

Earlier the pharma major said that the company is determining the pricing of the product i.e. an oral anti viral drug for Covid 19 patients. Also, the company said customers as well as Covid patients need to be cautious of agents selling fake drugs in the name of 2DG drug.

In an advisory, the Hyderabad-based company said, "2DG has not yet been launched in the market and price per sachet has not been announced.''

Average brokerage price target for the scrip is Rs. 5623.67 per share i.e. an upside of over 5 percent.
