Dream11 Parent Company Dream Sports to Acquire 15% Stake in Cricbuzz for $50 Million : Report

Fantasy gaming platform Dream11's parent company Dream Sports is reportedly planning to acquire a stake in a popular cricket media platform Cricbuzz which is owned by Times Internet. According to two people familiar with the development, this would mark Dream Sports' first major investment in a cricket-centric content platform.

"Dream11 is in the final stages of acquiring a 15% stake in Cricbuzz for $50 million. The terms of the deal have been finalized, and the transaction is likely to materialize soon," according to an Entrackr report citing its sources. With its first major investment in a cricket-focused media company, Dream Sports will increase its footprint in the sport's content ecosystem and have direct access to millions of cricket fans in India.

Cricbuzz ended FY25 with an expected revenue of Rs 400 crore, according to Entrackr's source-based report. However, this amount has not yet been officially confirmed.
