Gold rates in India are facing renewed selling pressure, with bullion extending its decline for the second straight day as a combination of higher crude oil prices, escalating Middle East tensions and a stronger US dollar weighs on investor sentiment. The fall has erased Rs 14,100 per 100 grams from the price of 24 Karat gold over the past two sessions.

On Tuesday, September 15, 24 Karat gold fell Rs 92 per gram to Rs 15,317, while 22K gold declined Rs 85 to Rs 14,040 and 18K gold slipped Rs 69 to Rs 11,488 per gram.

The pressure on gold has also intensified after US CPI inflation rose 3.4% in August, strengthening expectations that the Federal Reserve may remain cautious on monetary easing. Meanwhile, silver has bucked the recent volatility, holding steady for a fourth consecutive day at Rs 245 per gram, or Rs 2,45,000 per kilogram.

24 Karat Gold Rate Today in India

The price of 24 Karat gold in India stood at Rs 15,317 per gram on Tuesday, September 15, down Rs 92 from the previous day. For larger quantities, 8 grams is priced at Rs 1,22,536, while 10 grams costs Rs 1,53,170. The price of 100 grams has fallen to Rs 15,31,700, reflecting a decline of Rs 9,200.

22 Karat Gold Rate Today in India

22K gold was priced at Rs 14,040 per gram, marking a daily decline of Rs 85. The price for 8 grams stood at Rs 1,12,320, while 10 grams was available at Rs 1,40,400. For 100 grams, the price stood at Rs 14,04,000, down Rs 8,500 compared with the previous day.

18 Karat Gold Rate Today in India

The price of 18K gold fell Rs 69 per gram to Rs 11,488. An 8-gram quantity was priced at Rs 91,904, while 10 grams cost Rs 1,14,880. The price of 100 grams stood at Rs 11,48,800, representing a daily decline of Rs 6,900.

Silver prices in India remained unchanged on Tuesday, September 15, with the precious metal holding steady for the fourth consecutive day. Silver is priced at Rs 245 per gram, unchanged from the previous day.

On a larger quantity basis, 8 grams of silver costs Rs 1,960, while 10 grams is priced at Rs 2,450. The price of 100 grams remains steady at Rs 24,500, while 1 kilogram of silver is available at Rs 2,45,000, with no change from yesterday's levels.

"Gold is trying to steady itself today, trading near $4,330 an ounce. It's a small bounce, but the metal is still digesting yesterday's sharp 1.8% fall and heading for its third straight weekly loss," said Vedika Narvekar, Research Analyst, Anand Rathi Share and Stock Brokers Limited
