Drop in Gold Rate Today in Delhi; Falling by Rs 18000/24K per 100gm; Silver Rates Stable on 4th Day on 6 April

Domestic gold rates slipped in the latest trading session on April 6, 2026, after remaining steady in the previous session, as global cues weighed on investor sentiment. The price of 24 Karat (24K) gold declined to Rs 14,913 per gram, down by Rs 180, while 22 Karat (22K) gold eased to Rs 13,670 per gram, falling by Rs 165.

In contrast, silver prices in New Delhi held firm for the fourth consecutive session, trading steady at Rs 2,50,000 per kg. The movement in precious metals comes amid rising geopolitical tensions, after US President Donald Trump issued a fresh warning to Iran, cautioning of possible strikes on power plants and civilian infrastructure if the Strait of Hormuz is not reopened.

On 6 April, for 24 Karat (24K) gold, the price of 1 gram stood at Rs 14,928, down by Rs 180 from Rs 15,108 in the previous session. The rate for 8 grams dropped to Rs 1,19,424, marking a decline of Rs 1,440 from Rs 1,20,864.

Similarly, the 10 gram benchmark price fell to Rs 1,49,280, lower by Rs 1,800 compared to Rs 1,51,080 earlier. On a larger scale, 100 grams of 24K gold is now priced at Rs 14,92,800, reflecting a sharp fall of Rs 18,000 from the previous level of Rs 15,10,800.

22 Karat Gold Rate Today in Delhi

In the 22 Karat (22K) segment on Monday, the price of 1 gram declined to Rs 13,685, down by Rs 165 from Rs 13,850. For 8 grams, the rate slipped to Rs 1,09,480, registering a drop of Rs 1,320 from Rs 1,10,800. The 10-gram price eased to Rs 1,36,850, falling by Rs 1,650 from Rs 1,38,500. Meanwhile, 100 grams of 22K gold is currently valued at Rs 13,68,500, marking a decrease of Rs 16,500 from Rs 13,85,000.

18 Karat Gold Rate Today in Delhi

The price of 1 gram of 18 Karat on 6 April 2026 stood at Rs 11,200, down by Rs 135 from Rs 11,335 in the previous session. The rate for 8 grams declined to Rs 89,600, falling by Rs 1,080 from Rs 90,680. The 10-gram price dropped to Rs 1,12,000, marking a decrease of Rs 1,350 from Rs 1,13,350. On a bulk level, 100 grams of 18K gold is now priced at Rs 11,20,000, reflecting a fall of Rs 13,500 from Rs 11,33,500.

On April 6, 2026, the price of silver in Delhi stood at Rs 250 per gram, showing no change from the previous session. For 8 grams, the rate remained steady at Rs 2,000, while 10 grams was priced at Rs 2,500, both unchanged.

On a larger scale, 100 grams of silver continued to trade at Rs 25,000, with no movement in prices. Meanwhile, 1 kilogram of silver held firm at Rs 2,50,000.
