Drop in Gold Rate Today in India on Ganesh Chaturthi 2026: Check Latest 22K, 24K & 18K Gold Prices on 14 Sept
Gold prices extended their decline in India today, with rates falling further on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi as global bullion also remained under pressure. The latest move comes as bullion heads for a third consecutive weekly decline, while firmer underlying inflation in the US added to pressure on gold.
Data released on Friday showed the core Consumer Price Index, which excludes food and energy costs, rose 0.3% month-on-month in August. Although gold ended the session higher, it still recorded a 1.8% weekly fall, keeping the precious metal on a weaker footing. In India, 24 Karat gold slipped by Rs 49 per gram to Rs 15,409, while 22K and 18K gold also declined. Silver prices stood at Rs 245 per gram and Rs 2,45,000 per kilogram.
