However, the 'Shape of You' singer clarified that he had obtained prior permission to perform at the premise.

Ticket sales for Ed Sheeran's concert went live on December 11, 2024, through BookMyShow, with the prices ranging from Rs 4,000 to Rs 30,000 depending on the seating and viewing preferences. With an expected crowd of over 50,000 per show, the musician is estimated to earn between Rs 20 crores and Rs 150 crores for a single concert.

According to an influencer on Instagram, the recently concluded Coldplay's Indian tour was a financial hit with the British band earning Rs 600 crore in ticket sales. The band performed in five Indian cities with an average ticket price of Rs 13,500 and estimated attendance of 4.42 lakh people, the total earnings from ticket sales alone amounted to around 600 crore. Additionally, the band also made revenue through various sources such as merchandise sales, sponsorships, and streaming rights.
