The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has announced an extension of the deadline for employees to opt for a higher pension under the Employees' Pension Scheme (EPS).
The deadline for submitting applications has been extended to July 11, 2023 in order to give all eligible individuals a broader window of opportunity and to allow them to do so.

According to an EPFO press statement from June 26, 2023, this is the final chance for employees to make a combined application for a higher pension from EPS. To get a pension based on greater wages, the application must be submitted within 15 days. Additionally, the press announcement gave employers three months to publish salary information online.
The Employees' Pension Scheme (EPS) members' deadline to apply for a higher pension has now been extended by the EPFO three times.
"Last opportunity of 15 days is being given to remove any difficulty faced by the eligible pensioners/ members. Accordingly, the last date for submission of Applications for Validation of Option / Joint Options by employees is extended to 11.07.2023," said the press release.
