Eventions IPO: QIB Portion Subscribed 19.89 Times; Check Latest GMP, Price Band, Lot Size And Listing Date

Eventions Limited's SME IPO has attracted strong interest from qualified institutional buyers (QIBs), with the institutional portion of the issue subscribed nearly 20 times in the latest available data. The overall issue has also crossed the subscription mark, with the IPO subscribed around 1.07 times so far.

The IPO opened for subscription on September 30 and will remain open until October 5. Eventions is looking to raise around Rs 38.12 crore through the issue, which is entirely a fresh issue of shares. The company is proposed to be listed on the NSE Emerge platform, with October 8 as the tentative listing date.

Eventions IPO Subscription: QIB Portion Gets Strong Demand

The strongest demand has come from qualified institutional buyers. The QIB portion received bids for around 32.22 lakh shares against 1.62 lakh shares reserved for the category, resulting in a subscription of 19.89 times.

In simple terms, investors in the QIB category have placed bids for nearly 20 times the number of shares available to them. The value of these bids at the upper price band of Rs 118 works out to around Rs 38.02 crore.

The overall IPO, however, has only been subscribed around 1.07 times so far. This means the strong institutional response has not necessarily translated into equally strong demand across every investor category. Retail and non-institutional participation will remain important for the final subscription figures as bidding continues until October 5.

Eventions IPO Price, Lot Size And Minimum Investment

The price band for the Eventions IPO has been fixed at Rs 112 to Rs 118 per share. The lot size is 1,200 shares, but individual investors need to apply for a minimum of two lots. At the upper price band of Rs 118, an application for 2,400 shares would require Rs 2,83,200. This relatively high minimum investment is an important factor for investors considering the SME issue.

The IPO is being managed by Corporate Professionals Capital Pvt. Ltd., while Mudra RTA Ventures Private Limited is the registrar to the issue.

Eventions IPO GMP: What Does The Rs 42 Premium Mean?

Eventions IPO is also attracting attention in the unofficial grey market. The latest grey-market indication suggests a premium of around Rs 42 per share over the upper IPO price of Rs 118.

If this premium holds, the implied price would be around Rs 160 per share. However, this is only a mathematical indication based on the unofficial premium and does not represent a guaranteed listing price.

Grey Market Premium, or GMP, is based on informal transactions outside the official stock exchange mechanism. It can change quickly depending on demand, subscription levels, broader market sentiment and expectations around the listing. Investors should therefore avoid treating GMP as an official valuation or assured return.
