Export Performance To Be Better In July

The export performance will be better in the month of July, according to Mohit Sangla, Chairman of the Trade Promotion Council Of India (TPCI).

Speaking on the trade data for the month of June 2020, Sangla said, "It is an excellent achievement by India inc their relentless hard work which had led export to bounce back to normalcy. The next month's exports performance will be even better as the industry is on the uphill and growth trajectory. As the forward and backward linkages of economic activity are gradually repairing, the supply shock is fading and thus making produce readily available to meet demand."

Further the Chairman of the Trade Promotion Council of India added: "Many workers are returning back to work mainly in the manufacturing sector which is normalising the manufacturing activities and thus preparing industry to meet the global demand. Energy and Fuel consumption has gone up as work stations, factories and offices have resumed, relatively with respect to April and May. There is spurt in power generation and consumption as well as demand for petroleum products during June, reflecting the resumption of factories. The e-bill showing reaching to the pre- covid level also reflect that business have started churning now."
