Who Is Highest Paid Formula 1 Driver?
According to the Racing News365 report, the Dutchman, Verstappen is the highest paid F1 driver, with approximately around $65 million. While Hamilton follows with approximately $60 million in his base salary. Verstappen is three time F1 champion, a title that he bagged after dethroning and halting the back-to-back wins of Hamilton from 2014-2020. Hamilton's first F1 trophy was in 2008. Meanwhile, the Dutch driver has won for three consecutive years from 2021-24.
Verstappen is currently said to be the face of F1, because of his sensational performance in the past three years. His consistent hunger for win, took Red Bull in the lead against top engines of Mercedes and Ferrari.
Verstappen currently holds the title of the youngest point scorer and also the youngest race winner - at the age of 18 years and 228 days - with an opportunistic but controlled drive on debut for Red Bull in Barcelona 2016. A true wheel-to-wheel racer, another stunning drive in Brazil from the back of the pack to the podium on a treacherous wet track kept the plaudits coming, as per F1.
Moreover, Hamilton's current partner Leclerc is at the third position with likely $34 million base salary under Ferrari.
