On November 12, Facebook, the widely used messenger portal, has launched Facebook Pay that can be used for payment services across its platforms such as Whatsapp and Instagram. And this can be done even while using the app.
The company said the payment on the app can be done through a PIN based option or biometrics using one's smartphones. The service shall be made available this week in the US. On the earlier instance, the company said it aims to integrate its messaging infrastructure.
The social networking tool said the company will collect the user's database such as the payment mode used, date of billing, amount and contact details and the same will be used for showing targeted advertisements to users.
