Air travellers are in for good news today, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has partnered with Bharat Taxi to launch fixed-fare airport cab services at 10 airports in India. The biggest benefit for passengers is that these taxis will not have surge pricing, unlike many app-based ride services. This will make airport travel more affordable and transparent for people.

Which airports will get Bharat Taxi service?
The new AAI Bharat Taxi airport cab service will start soon at airports inRajkot, Vadodara, Surat, Bhuj, Pune, Aurangabad, Varanasi, Kanpur, Prayagraj, and Agra. Officials confirmed the rollout is for 10 airports only to improve last-mile connectivity from airports, especially in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, where passengers often struggle to find reliable and fairly priced transport late at night or during peak travel time.
No surge pricing, fixed and transparent fares
The big highlight of the Bharat Taxi airport service is regulated fixed fares. Passengers will know the cab price in advance, which protects them from high surge charges usually seen during rush hours, festivals, or bad weather.
About Bharat Taxi
Bharat Taxi was officially launched on February 5, by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi. It runs a driver-owned cooperative model, which aims to give fair income to drivers while keeping rides budget-friendly for passengers. Travellers will be able to book airport cabs through the Bharat Taxi app for airport pickup and drop service through a simple and digital way which will improve the overall airport passenger experience in India, especially where public transport options are limited.
IT Offers Bharat Auto, Bike, Economy Cab, Priority, Sedan, XL rides with transparent fixed fares, which is up to 30% cheaper, has 24/7 support, live tracking feature on the app, and safety via Delhi Police verification. The Bharat taxi app is available on Google Play and Apple App Store
If expanded to more airports, the AAI Bharat Taxi partnership could change how airport taxi services in India work, giving strong competition to traditional ride-hailing platforms.
