FM Allocates Rs 20,000 crores For Fisherman Under Matsya Sampada Yojana
The Finance Minister today announced Rs 20,000 crore fund to be created under the Matsya Sampada Yojana, to help the marine and fisheries sector.

Of the total amount, Rs 11,000 crore would be earmarked for activities in marine, inland fisheries and aquaculture. The remaining Rs 9,000 crore will be for infrastructure like fishing harbours, cold chains and markets. It will help in an employment generation for 55 lakh people.
