Joshi further reassured the public by stating, "Our stock is many times larger than what is needed, and there is absolutely no reason for anyone to rush to the markets in any part of the country." He urged people not to give credence to such rumours, affirming there is no shortage of essential goods.

Escalating Tensions Between India and Pakistan

Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, several states have taken precautionary measures. These include closing schools, enforcing blackouts in border districts, and cancelling leave for police and administrative personnel. These steps aim to ensure readiness in case of any escalation.

On Thursday, India reported thwarting attempts by Pakistan's military to target military installations in 15 cities across northern and western regions. The attacks involved missiles and drones, heightening fears of a broader conflict between the neighbouring countries.

India's Defensive Measures

India employed its S-400 missile defence systems alongside surface-to-air missiles and integrated counter-unmanned aircraft systems to counter these threats. These measures were crucial in preventing potential damage from Pakistani military actions.

In retaliation, India launched kamikaze drones targeting a Pakistani air defence system located in Lahore. This action was part of India's strategic response to neutralise threats and maintain security along its borders.

The situation remains tense as both nations continue to monitor developments closely. The international community watches with concern as these events unfold, hoping for a peaceful resolution to avoid further escalation.
